A career academy is a small learning community that combines a college preparatory curriculum with a career focus. An academy provides unique learning opportunities through extensive business partnerships, integrated instruction, hands-on learning, field studies, service learning, career shadowing, co-ops, and internships. Academy teachers and business partners provide the real world skills necessary for students to be successful in today's work environment. 

Admission
Admission into an academy of choice requires the student to complete the District Career Academy Application for each academy of choice even when academies of choice are located at the SAME school. Student eligibility may be determined by such factors as academic performance, attendance, and conduct.

Academy Transportation
When district transportation is provided, it occurs from centralized bus stops. Please see your high school principal, Career Connection Facilitator, or guidance counselor to determine if academy transportation is available.
